prevent Hiv-Aids From Raiding Small Villages In Kenya

n my small hamlet of Aremiet in Isiolo district in Kenya, Hiv/Aids has not been proper by the local community as a realty that is affecting every person regardless of age, gender, class, etc. Any person that contracts the virus is treated as an outcast and he/she is rejected by not only his house and relatives but also by the whole community. In the past, the Turkana community abandoned people with persisting diseases and people with disabilities in thick forests and left to starve to death or be eaten by wild animals because they were regarded as evil and a punishment from their God, Akuj.

Today, people who are infected by Hiv/Aids are regarded as dirty, evil and that they are punished by God due to something they did. They are blamed for contracting the disease and therefore ousted by the community. These infected people get built a small hut covering the compound. person brings small food once a day. This food is insufficient to a Hiv/Aids infected person due to the nutritional needs they have to meet due to their condition. No one bathe them, nor talks to them, no one comes near them, nor gives them hope and no one takes them to the hospital. The nearest hospital is in Isiolo town, 15km from Aremiet village. These patients cannot entrance healing services they badly need due to the distance of the hospital. The mode of communication is by foot.

Drugs For Hiv

These patients are left to die. They die fast due to lack of healing attention, lack of allowable cusine and the pain and hurt of being unwanted, unloved and uncared for by their families, relatives and the whole community.

Turkana people are ignorant and don't have knowledge of the virus because:

They don't have any form of sex education.

They don't know the reality of Hiv/Aids and other sexually transmitted diseases and how they are contracted.

They don't know any safe methods of preventing Hiv/Aids and other Stds.

They don't have any Testing and Counseling facilities in the villages.

They don't have facilities where they can entrance free Antivirus drugs and other prominent drugs for an infected person.

I wrote this article so that I can focus the eyes of the world and the Organizations that are trying to fight Hiv/Aids to local villages in Kenya. There are so many villages of the minority tribes and the marginalized communities like turkana that need help on how to preclude Hiv/Aids and other Stds and how to live with the Virus if infected. Testing and counseling facilities should be introduced in the villages to meet these needs. Our governments and Organizations only join their energy, time and resources in fighting Hiv/Aids in the cities and major towns, forgetting that if the hamlet people are not taken care of, they will migrate to the cities and major towns due to the on-going Rural-Urban migration and in the process bring Hiv/Aids virus to towns. Other than that, the villages will be wiped out due to lack of information on Hiv/Aids virus and Stds.

In a case study, Ayeyo* 17, was a young woman from a very poor house in our village. She was carefully to desist her customary school and join high school if she could because she believed so much in education. But she could not go to high school due to lack of school fees from her poor parents. After customary school, she went to work as a house help in the around town of Nyahururu in Laikipia district. She told her mother that she couldn't bare to see them waking up hungry and a day ending without food in their mouth and the next day it will be the same for 2-3 days. She couldn't bare to see them living from hand to mouth in ultimate poverty. There she worked and provided for their large house with the little salary she got from her employer. But after 3 months, she was raped by the man of the same house she worked for and got infected with Hiv/Aids virus. After sometimes, she felt so sick and weak and they sent her home without anything and without her dignity. When she came back home, her house realized that their daughter had mysterious disease according to them and they isolated her. Ayeyo got seriously ill, she was depressed coz the same house she sacrificed for abandoned her when she needed them the most. Her house and the community feared that if she stayed together with them, they will get her mysterious disease from mosquito bites, touching her, talking with her or from sharing plates with.

She contracted malaria that finally killed her. What disappointed me about her death is the fact that he house isolated her. She needed them at that time. If they had information about what to do in case of a sick person, they could have helped her out. If they had condition facilities around, they could have given her antivirus that could have boasted her immune and educated the house and the community on how to care for a Hiv sure patient. That 17 yr old young woman could have been alive by now if they had taken care of her. She is one of the many turkana young people who die like dogs because of lack of allowable knowledge on Hiv/Aids.

Top 10 Things To Do In Life To forestall Hiv/Aids

1. Use a condom - It is obvious, a condom can preclude the spread of Hiv/Aids in more than ninety-nine out of every one hundred cases. This is true of latex condoms, but positive other types may not be as effective, and some which are created using lambskin or sheep intestine may allow the virus to slip through.

2. Never share hypodermic needles - Intravenous drug users often share the same hypodermic needles, and this can create a high risk for many infectious disease which can be passed along from one person to another. Hepatitis can also be spread in this fashion.

3. Eat a healthy diet each day - allowable nutrition can help fight off many separate viral infections, by promoting a healthy body and immune system. If the daily diet is lacking in nutrients than the immune ideas may not work as effectively, prominent to a viral infection.

4. Limit the number of sexual partners - Hiv/Aids is spread through sexual contact, so limiting the number of sexual partners can also help minimize the risk of catching this virus. Know the partners chosen very well, including their sexual history and if they were tested for any diseases. Celibacy is the only guaranteed method available to preclude catching a viral infection through sexual transmission, but if this method is not desired then keep the number of sexual partners as small as possible.

5. Avoid casual sexual encounters and one night stands - Casual sexual encounters have come to be common, but this custom creates a very high risk for infection with Stds because of the short-term relationships and collection of partners within a short time.

6. Don't use drugs or alcohol - Drug or alcohol use greatly increases the risk of unsafe behavior, and this behavior can lead to a disease or infection. These substances lower inhibitions, and can cause an private to act in uncharacteristic ways and to take risks.

7. Take anti-retroviral medicine if exposed - whatever who suspects any possible exposure to Hiv/Aids should immediately start medicine with drugs called anti-retrovirals. These medications may preclude the virus from multiplying or causing an initial infection.

8. Avoid high risk occupations - positive occupations carry a risk of contact with infectious individuals or contaminated corporal fluids. These comprise doctors, nurses, paramedics, prison guards and correctional officers, police officers, and many other occupations. Group security employees are oftentimes needed for accidents and injuries where blood or other body fluids and present, and if the private is contagious these workers may be infected if precautions are not taken,

9. Male circumcision - Male circumcision has been scientifically shown to preclude the spread of viruses and sexually transmitted infections to men by up to 60%. This has caused many countries to encourage circumcision to minimize the risks of infection. When a male is infected, they oftentimes pass this along to female partners, so circumcision helps safe both sexes.

10. Avoid touching blood or corporal fluids from others whenever possible - Hiv/Aids is spread through contact with corporal fluids that are infected with the virus responsible. Always use all possible precautions before coming into contact with any body fluids. This can comprise latex gloves, face masks, and other protections available.

Questioning The Hiv-Aids Hypothesis

In a previous record I raised questioned if the Hiv virus causes Aids. In this record I do more of the same because the more I look at the whole Aids issue the more a lot of the mainstream conclusions do not make sense. Coupled with the mountain of evidence from the scientific society named the 'Hiv dissidents' It is essential for the sake of humanity, we need to re-examine the facts with regard to the most dreaded disease facing the world.

The Aids dogma and its grip on the social consciousness

Drugs For Hiv

A known campaign program has been unleashed on the public. We are made to believe that the Hiv virus is deadly and can cause the whole immune principles to collapse, that once infected death by Aids is certain. There are anti viral drugs such as A.Z.T , D.D. C and D.D.I that is said to slow the progression of the disease but they are very toxic and can well bring the unset of Aids itself.

Below are some essential questions that needs urgent answers

First, after spending billions of dollars, H.I.V. Researchers are still unable to justify how the H.I.V., a retrovirus with a very simple genetic organization, damages the whole immune system, and there seems to be no means to stop it. The present stalemate contrasts dramatically with the belief expressed in 1984 by Dr Gallo-the chief architect of the Hiv-Aids hypothesis and the then Secretary of health Margaret Heckler announced the probable cause of Aids has been discovered, At that time Gallo opinion the virus killed cells directly by infecting them, and the U.S. Government officials improbable a vaccine would be ready in two years. Twenty five years on, no vaccine is in sight, and the certainty about how the virus destroys the immune principles is yet to be resolved. Could we be barking up the wrong tree?

Second, Over 4,000 scientists along with two Nobel peace prize winners, eminent virologist and immunologist query the Hiv/Aids hypothesis. Why hasn't their findings made social if truly we are finding for answers?

Third, predictions based on the H.I.V. Epidemic principles have failed spectacularly. For instance, Aids in the United States and Europe has not spread straight through to the normal population. Instead, twenty five years on, it still remains almost entirely confined to the former risk groups-mainly sexually promiscuous gay men, homophiliacs and intravenous drug abusers. The H.I.V infection rate among Americans has increased more slowly rather than increasing rapidly as predicted, which suggests that at best H.I.V. Is an old virus that has been with us for hundreds of years without causing an epidemic.

Fourth, a new size into diagnosis has entered into healing custom with Aids, where a person with a distinct type of symptoms is said to have a disease. Aids without H.I.V. Is especially prevalent in Africa, where being H.I.V.-positive is not even a factor in diagnosis. The definition of Aids in Africa is fundamentally distinct than the definition of Aids that is used in the West. If an African is diagnosed with the following clinical symptoms-a persistent cough, a high fever, persisting diarrhea, a ten-percent weight loss in the last two months-and lives in Africa that person has Aids, irrespective of any other possible disease such as dysentery, malaria or T.B. Never the less, Western scientists claim that 85 percent of the African citizen is distinct for H.I.V anti bodies, when tests are rarely, if ever, performed. How can they make such conclusions?

Lastly, Hiv-Aids has the hallmarks of a disease that most terrorises the minds of citizen with whom it affects their way of life. Since we are told that Hiv the virus that causes Aids can be spread by sexual intercourse- an performance most adults find very pleasurable, it has thus made the social write back in a manner quite unlike any other disease. However, that doesn't quite hold up. There is, in fact, no preserve for the idea that Aids is a sexually transmitted disease in any place in the world. For example-people who are diagnosed as having Aids but whose partners remain uninfected. There are thousands of these. One of the most paramount examples is Arthur Ashe. He had H.I.V. For ten years and died of Aids, but his wife and daughter are both H.I.V.-negative.... There are 15,000 American haemophiliacs who are H.I.V-positive, and there isn't one study that shows that the wives of haemophiliacs get Aids from their partners. Why is this so?

So many unanswered questions but we must seek answers to them. Agreeing Albert Einstein the most scientist of the last century, ''the prominent thing is never stop questioning''
Is there a possibility that all things we opinion about Aids is wrong? Agreeing to Neville Hodgkinson of the Sunday Times London, wrote an record on April 26th 1992 stating ''If Hiv does not cause Aids....then we will have witnessed the biggest healing and scientific blunder of this century. I cannot agree with him more.

Hiv-Aids: Should We Blame the Virus, When Breathing Is the Cause?

In a study "Oral corticosteroids in patients with mild Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia and the acquired immune scantness syndrome (Aids)", a group of Canadian doctors found that average breathing frequency in patients with industrialized Hiv-Aids was about 30 breaths/min at rest (Montaner et al, 1993), while the normal value is only 12 (some textbooks may suggest 12-15 breaths per min at rest). This fast breathing corresponds, if we apply the Buteyko Table of health Zones, to only about 5 s for the body oxygen test in these patients.

Chinese doctors in their publication "Study of infusion of oxygen-enriched liquid to definite severe hypoxemia in infectious diseases: a narrative of pilot clinical study" revealed that breathing frequency in patients with industrialized Hiv and acute severe Sars ranged from about 30 to 50 breaths per minute. These patients had less than 5 s for the stress-free breath-holding time test done after usual exhalation, while the normal oxygen content is about 40 seconds. Such high breathing rates and low levels of oxygen indicate severe hyperventilation that simply suppresses the immune principles and causes hundreds of pathological effects linked to all organs and systems of the human body.

Drugs For Hiv

Advance of many continuing diseases (cancer, heart disease, cystic fibrosis, asthma, and may others) is all the time accompanied by faster and deeper breathing (chronic hyperventilation syndrome) that, among many other pathological effects, reduces body oxygen content, leads to anaerobic cell respiration, and suppresses the immune system.

Frequent infections, more problems with sleep, continuing fatigue and addition digestive complaints all are typical effects of hyperventilation that are present in citizen without Hiv-Aids. Nearnessy of discrete viruses (leading to Hiv, hepatitis, bacterial pneumonia, tuberculosis and fungal pneumonia) worsen the clinical picture, but only in those patients who have continuing hyperventilation.

Therefore, typical symptoms of industrialized Hiv-Aids indicate severely disturbed respiratory parameters that operate and promote amelioration of this medical condition. Primary medications for industrialized stages of Hiv-Aids often address only discrete clinical features or symptoms. For example, use of antibiotics reduces severity of pulmonary infections and slows down breathing and heart rate due to decreased toxic load. Application of corticosteroids suppresses inflammation and directly reduces the respiratory frequency and pulse, thus addition body oxygen content and providing a temporary relief.

One Soviet clinical trial found that breathing normalization leads to disappearance of the most typical symptoms of moderate to severe Hiv-Aids. In this study, Soviet medical doctors provided an additional (to Primary medication), but, as they found, the most influential therapy for a group of Hiv-Aids patients: breathing retraining or teaching how to breathe slower and less 24/7. It makes sense, since hyperventilation Reduces body oxygen level, while breathing less (or breathing in accordance with medical norms) leads to increased Co2 and higher body oxygen content that reverse the key pathological features of Hiv-Aids.

There are now some breathing methods that fight continuing hyperventilation. Among the most beloved techniques are the Buteyko breathing method, which is noted for its invigorating lifestyle changes program, and Frolov breathing device, which has the most efficient breathing exercises. The composition of these breathing techniques is probably the most dynamic approach for addressing pathological changes that takes place while amelioration of many continuing diseases, Hiv-Aids included.

The whole of Deaths Caused by Hiv-Aids Every Year

With the amount of Hiv cases expanding year after year, it is not a surprise that there are also an expanding amount of deaths caused by the infection and Aids. Statistics show that about 25 million individuals have died all over the world due to the disease. The healing manufactures is involved by these statistics and so healing professionals are trying hard to improve awareness of this healing condition.

You need to be aware that there is no cure for human immunodeficiency infection. Although there are any medications available, it is still not enough to curtail the growing amount of those who suffer from Hiv/Aids.

Drugs For Hiv

During the early stages of the infection when there are few if any symptom, healing professionals apply the term Hiv for their diagnoses. But in the later stages when the body's immune system is severely damaged, the health is called Aids.

Prevention and instruction are the best ways to sell out the amount of deaths every year.

Here are some facts that you should know about this condition:

o The health can be life-threatening in the late stages. Once the immune system of the body is too weak, you will be more susceptible to inevitable cancers and other infections .
o Symptoms vary depending on the phase. Asymptomatic phase commonly takes any years (several months to about 10 years) and so many individuals are not aware that they have the infection until it's too late. During the asymptomatic phase, you can already forward the infection to others unknowingly.
o Watch out for swollen lymph nodes, thrush, weight loss, diarrhea, shortness of breath, fever, and cough.
o Ten years after the initial infection, the symptoms are more evident and if you seek healing attention, you will be diagnosed with Aids if you have Hiv infection and it is accompanied by any of these conditions: - pneumocystis carinii pneumonia, less than 200 Cd4+ T lymphocyte, very high fever, dry cough, continuing diarrhea, shaking chills, night sweats, unusual lesions and white spots, distorted or blurred vision, weight loss, and headaches.

It's a good thing that the cases of infected children have slowly decreased in the recent years. Seeking healing concentration is more of a personal choice. The infection is commonly linked with sexual activities or intravenous drug abuse and so it can be very embarrassing for an individual to be diagnosed with the condition. healing counseling is very leading at this stage. Only you can tell if you're experiencing the early symptoms, especially if you tend to engage in unprotected sex frequently or if you share needles for the use of intravenous drugs. Never hesitate to consult healing professionals because the results will not be released in group although it will be reported to involved state agencies or departments.

Hiv infection and Aids are serious conditions that are intimately monitored by governments from all over the world. Help fight Hiv/Aids by being well informed so that the amount of deaths due to the Hiv pandemic can slowly decrease.

Hiv-Aids - Yesterday & Today

When the pandemic first struck in 1981, there was no treatment. It wasn't even called Aids (acquired immunodeficiency disease syndrome). It was called 'gay cancer', 'gay compromise syndrome', 'community-acquired immune dysfunction" and Grid (gay-related immune deficiency). Ks (Karposi's Sarcoma), a exact type of cancer, and Pcp (Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia) were soon the two main healing conditions being discovered by physicians in a determined citizen of citizen who met a determined criteria.

Known primarily to sway only those with compromised immune systems, these conditions were very rare but over time more and more cases were being reported in hospital emergency rooms. Patients, who were primarily gay men at the time, were dying in a matter of months. As researchers worked on containing a virus, which attacked the body's immune system, it soon became apparent that a vaccine was going to be impossible to develop.

Drugs For Hiv

This virus, at last named Hiv ( human immunodeficiency virus ) was classified as a 'retrovirus', meaning it was able to double itself into many different forms when spreading throughout the body so one 'single' vaccine was not going to be able to conquer it. This dismal photo of Aids was prevalent throughout the 1980's. Though there wasn't a cure, the healing community concentrated on treating the symptoms of the many 'opportunistic infections' ( a group of maladies affecting only those with a compromised immune systems) seen in those with Aids.

The goal was to heighten the ability of ones life and promote longevity but, unfortunately, these treatments were not very victorious and many prolonged to die. From the gay community, Aids found its way into the Iv drug using community and at last into the right community. Mothers contracting the virus were giving birth to babies already infected. The Aids virus was found in blood, semen, vaginal fluid and breast milk. Transmission occurred when the corporal fluids of one infected someone were transferred into the blood system of a non-infected person.

The nation went into panic mode and Aids public service agencies could not be advanced fast enough. And with Aids came fear, hatred, bigotry and rejection. citizen were fired from their jobs and displaced from their homes. Teen-agers were being turned away from their own families as feeling guilt and shame were damaging all self worth in many of those infected. As drastic as this was, Aids activist groups were, also, being created to fight for funding for research, medication and education.

Dame Elizabeth Taylor became the first and leading leader of this battle creating amFar (The American Foundation for Aids Research) and her own Elizabeth Taylor Aids Foundation. She slowly raised millions of dollars with her philanthropic efforts. Radial groups such as Act-Up demonstrated and held protests demanding equal rights and better societal treatment. It took years until one single drug, Azt, showed promise in slowing down the production of the virus in the blood stream. It was a major advancement and in some cases, it prolonged life but not significantly.

As other drugs came down the pipeline, Act-Up demanded that the Fda (Federal Drug & Food Administration) streamline experimental drug and to publish them fast for human consumption. citizen simply didn't have the the occasion to wait extended periods of time for drugs to be approved. Some drugs, ordinarily known as Nucleoside/ Nucleotide Reverse Transcriptase Inhibitors (Nrtis) and Non-Nucleoside Reverse Transcriptase Inhibitors (Nnrtis) were advanced and clinical trials for effectiveness started as soon as possible.

Now, some with Aids were able to add some years, instead of months, to their lives. But it was still a life with an determined end in sight. Even though there were advancements in the medicine of Aids, condition issues were still an uphill battle. Systems of a severely compromised immune system, as well as side effects from the new medication, caused problems unto themselves. There were those who were too ill on a daily basis to enjoy the postponement of their lives and misery prevailed once again. Those infected with Hiv gave up their employment and went on disability. Some were cashing in their life insurance policies for money to exist on. And exist they did. Isolation, depression, hopelessness, and substance abuse addictions plagued this citizen of citizen who were left to ponder the meaning of their life having acquired this affliction.

Finally, in 1996, there was a primary discovery. The creation of a group of drugs called 'Protease Inhibitors' (Pis) attacked the virus in a formula never seen before and, at last, there seemed to be some hope. Though these drugs did not cure Aids, they initiated an whole new phase in the history of Aids treatment. Pi's came with their own single troublesome list of side effects and a battle ensued in regards to taking the medication, which made most citizen ill or not to take them. In the years that followed, more and more drugs were created with less and less side effects.

Hiv could virtually be undetected in the body with the allowable use of these medications. Without Hiv destroying the body's immune system, the immune system had a occasion to mend itself. As Aids was slowly slipping away from having a reputation of being an instant death sentence, citizen were construction back the foundation of their lives. They were feeling better, living longer and were able to enjoy life, once again. Unfortunately, this was not the case for everybody and there were still those who succumbed to the disease.

Today, we have any classifications of effective drugs: Fusion Inhibitors and Intergrase Inhibitors all assault the virus in different ways. These drugs are now used in conjunction with others in combinations ordinarily called ' a cocktail'. Taking these medications is now a daily habit and vital in the lives of those suffering from Hiv/Aids. Now, it is hopeful that living ten, twenty or thirty years may be a reality. The healing profession is now calling Hiv/Aids a manageable disease. There is a downside, though. The long term use of these potent medications it not fully understood and,as years go by, these medications may be more harmful to the body that easily having Aids itself. Only time will tell. A second drawback is drug resistance. Each of these medications may only be effective for a determined number of time and then they are no longer able to keep the virus at bay. So, the discovery for a cure can never be pushed onto the back burner.

For only when Aids is eradicated from the face of the Earth, is when we shall find peace. Researchers are skeptical that this will occur in the near future but advances in Aids medicine remain titanic in comparison to a quarter of a century ago. Though there is still a stigma attached to those with Aids, it is not the face of quivering illness as it once was in our society. It is the face of condition and prosperity. And we remain forever hopeful.

Hiv/Aids & Other Std

Sexually Transmitted Diseases - are transmitted straight through sexual contact. Std -are ordinarily divided into two categories, bacterial and viral. Bacterial infections are relatively easy to cure if detected early. Viral infections are technically incurable but the symptoms are controllable if detected early. Having a sexually transmitted disease (Std) can increase a person's risk of becoming infected with Hiv. Std rehabilitation reduces the risk of Hiv infection.

The human immunodeficiency virus Hiv, Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome Aids and sexually transmitted diseases (Std) are one of the main concern today. The patients affected by them are large in number and alarming as it is infectious. Anyone in any place can get the virus, from one someone to the other, from a mother to a baby. It is estimated by the Joint United Nations program that there are over 34 million population worldwide affected with Hiv/Aids. Out of them only few are aware of their being infected and spreading the virus.

Drugs For Hiv

To begin with Hiv - the human immunodeficiency virus - is a virus that kills your body gradually and slowly. Hiv attacks human cells and uses nutrients and power provided by those cells to grow and reproduce. Hiv can be passed from one someone to the other. If someone with Hiv infection has sex or shares drug injection needles with an additional one someone then he or she is likely to be Hiv positive. It also can be passed from a mother to her baby when she is pregnant, when she delivers the baby, or if she breast-feeds her baby.

It is very leading to keep yourself away from the virus getting into your body and it is equally leading not to let others get infected by it. There are separate ways of getting infected by Hiv as o If you have unprotected Sex with someone who has Hiv. The virus can be in an infected person's blood, semen, or vaginal secretions. It can also enter your body straight through tiny cuts or sores in your skin, or in the lining of your vagina, penis, rectum, or mouth. o If you share a needle and syringe to inject drugs or share drug tool used to get ready drugs for injection with someone who has Hiv. o If you had a blood transfusion or blood clotting factor that you got before 1985. As all blood in the United States have been tested for Hiv since 1985. How can you protect yourself from Hiv?
o Make a mature move, both the partners should not hesitate to go for Hiv test
o If you are pregnant then have an Hiv test.
o Make sure to use condoms.

Aids - the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome - is a disease you get when Hiv destroys your body's immune system. Normally, your immune theory helps you fight off illness. When your immune theory fails you can come to be very sick and can die.

An Hiv-infected someone receives a prognosis of Aids after developing one of the defined Aids indicator illnesses, (opportunistic infection). A determined Hiv test corollary does not mean that a someone has Aids. A prognosis of Aids is made by a physician using determined clinical criteria. There is no cure for Aids. There are anti drugs now ready that can slow down the virus, and slow down the damage to your immune system. These drugs have also helped sacrifice the full, rates of opportunistic infections in population with Aids.
